Corn stalks???

Hi...just wondering...one of my neighbors up the road has corn stalks for sale for fall decorations. My first thought, of course, was "I wonder if I could use some of the "leaves" to make bird toys?? (after I make sure they weren't treated with insecticide) Anyone have thoughts on this?

I've seen it done, but don't remember if it was on this forum or one of the competitors I visit, but whichever, it's been a couple of years.....have you tried searching the forums?

Thank you for your reply. I have searched it on this forum but I haven't done a google search on it yet. I wanted to ask the forum first because I trust what you all think/say. If I find any info I will post the results.
