Crack on bottom beak - should i be worried?

There appear to be cracks on my 4 month old eclectus's bottom beak. Picture attached. Is this normal?

Baby ekkie beaks go through major changes in their first year. I have seen some of that peeling look on mine but not really to that extent. I would keep an eye on it. What is his diet like?

His diet isnt the worse but definitely not the best. He eats a fair amount of fruit and a little bit of veggies and a decent amount of nuts and seeds.

On the odd occasion I also give him some vitamin pellets just in case he needs it.

What would happen if his beak broke off? Is it gone for good?

His beak does not look to be breaking off, nor do I see a crack. As Laura said, the beak "sheds".
