Birdism posted a pic of a kakapo on Facebook and now each time I scroll, I have to look at it... it's just too cute to just scroll 😅

I don't remind such thread for Internet photos, so I thought I'll create it

Kakapos are amazingly Muppet-like birds. I wish I could go work with them in New Zealand. There are some amazing birds there.

Emus remind me of Big Bird (as do ostriches). You expect to see either such bird on Sesame Street or eating cookies…. I am getting to be middle aged and am much more kakapo-like then I have ever been.

The bird you have pictured would look ok with some heavy glasses. And/or a heavy moustache.

Do YOU think that kakapo looks like a stuffed animal or a Muppet?

They’re just so…dorky-looking. Like they would fit right in on Sesame Street. Carrying a big pink purse and sponsoring the letter “k” and the number “2”.

The first time I saw a toucan in a cage in a pet store I thought it was a stuffed animal. I walked too close to the cage and it stuck its big beak through the bars to try to bite me.

Amazing some of the creatures that are REAL and not made up!
