KC may i ask without being to much of a stickybeak, but is there any reason Audrey's beak is so orange & hasn't changed to black. Or is it just the pic.
I'm not sure to be honest, it's been orange the whole time I've had her, though the flash makes it look a lot more orange then it is. She is almost 5 months. When do they usually change?

It's just that i have never seen a young hens beak like Audrey's. Her beak color struck me as extremly unusual that's all.
Iam used to seeing all my baby girl chicks with black beaks, only the tip remains pale until about 6 to 9 months of age & the males usually have a pale beak with a trace of black that goes orange by the time they wean.
Yeah I haven't seen many others with beak's like hers, but some of her sisters have had the lighter beaks, though I'm sure they change completely as they got older lol. As long as she is healthy, I think the lighter beak is cute hehe.
