Hi my name is Dawn and I just purchase my first Macaw and he is a week old. I don't have him at home yet but I am going to visit him as often as possible and maybe I can bring him home by Thanksgiving. I named him MO. I have a picture of him he is so tiny. I can't wait to be able to hold him he is still in the incubator. I had a blue nose parrot that I loved but due to foster care and lots of small children at the time I had to give her to a better home, little kids weren't her bag. But now all my little kids are grown and I am home lots alone it is time to renew my friendship with a fun bird noise and all, I will welcome it. But I do know I have lots to learn and I am so thankful that you all are here . I know I will have lots of questions along the way. I have 3 quaker parrots one of which has only one foot and does well that we have had since they were baby fed, in fact we still bottle feed these birds a little. I have a large play table for them that my son in law made for me and well we are just waiting for the baby of the family to come home. I crochet a lot so I will be making clothes for my bird either that or he will be making clothes for me. lol

that's great. it would have been even greater if you adopted one. lots of unwanted birdies out there.. anyway. welcome. do your homework on your guy so he gets the best care. here is something to start with.
