I have been trying to find a good food to feed my amazon in addition to the fresh veggies and fruit that he gets each day.

I have read about dr. Harvey's with bee pollen - it is human grade and comes with and without seed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've never heard of Dr harvey's, do you live in the US? Some of the better pellets are Harrisons,Tops and others, read the ingredients. Most have corn, which i'm not saying is bad ,but some people prefer mot to feed it.It seems that most birds will eat the pellets with corn as a main ingredient and the Harrison and other organic premium feeds can be a hard sell to picky birds, sort of like kids and junk food. All that being said it's better than seeds because amazon don't need the high fat content (especially, clipped nonflighted),check the analysis and keep to the ones that have 6-7% crude fat or less, 4% would be better . I'd also avoid the color/favored pellets and go with the natural/plain stuff. All of that being said i feel most any pellet is better than seeds and you can always switch after getting him started on any pellet that he'll eat.If you buy larger bags ,store in your freezer and always check the "best used by" date.I'd buy a cheap gram scale and weigh your bird in the morning before feeding, this will give you some insight into what effect your feeding routine is having. Good luck and research some of the many topics under health/diet on this and other forums.Switching a new birds diet can be tricky and you need to be educated about potential health risk. ie,most "maintenance" pellets should never be supplemented with added vit/minerals.

I feed a 4 pellet mixture in addition to fresh fruit & veg & some table food & a small amount of nuts. The idea behind the 4 pellet mix is that no one pellet gives a parrot everything that she needs.

How do I get her to go from seeds to pellets I have tried but she won't eat the pellets
