E-coli

Has any one had trouble with E-coli? I just read about E-coli and hazelnuts.

I had E-coli when I was younger around 15 or 16 years old and I almost died. It wasn't from hazelnuts though.

i am pretty sure e-coli is in dirt or feaces, or skins of animal as there was mass panic with beef burgers etc back in the 80's over it

the way e-coli infects food is if its mixed in, as its generally on the surface, where its also kept in check from other harmless bacteria

its not a bacteria that is associated with nuts that i know off

thanks spirit! and yes it is cos its a nasty little bug!

hummm would be interested in the follow up, its no use saying they found it in hazel nuts, i need to know the assumed routes of contamination lol
