What does that mean, she'll just sit in her cage with one foot up to her chest? She is not aggressive and doesn't do it all the time....so I was wondering why she does it? She's not hurt.
Most birds will sit with one foot tucked into their body to keep it warm or get some relief from the pressure of perches. I have a platform in my cage for that purpose. If you have looked at the bottom of her foot and it looks ok it may not be a concern.
Ekkies do this when they are relaxed. This is a real compliment to you that she is comfortable enough to do that. If she relaxes enough like that she will even close her eyes and take a nap.
