To my father Joseph John Rahme
It's been 6 years since you left us
I tried to call you today to say I miss u, but couldn't find your number.
So tried the operator, she said "sorry, I have no number for you".
So tried to go to your house, but you don't live there anymore.
The post office has no forwarding address.
I guess Heaven is just too far away :
I love you and miss you so much, you are in my heart always and forever ♥

Big hugs and lots of love and birdie kisses to you!

that brings tears to my eyes. my condolances on the loss of your father. we never get over loosing them we just get used to living without them. hugs Alison and sweetie pie

Thinking of you, xox

Thinking of you on this sad anniversary. I lost my father almost 7 years ago & its hard to believe I've lived 7 years on this earth w/o him.

I know just exactly how you feel. Sometimes tears are healing, sometimes writing you feelings down can be healing, sometimes talking to friends can be healing. We are all here for you Antionette.

im sorry, i know what your going through and it really doesnt ever seem to get any easier, just more good days than bad...
I lost my mother 9 yrs ago and some days feels like day one all over again.
Hang in there, and never forget him. you will be in my thoughts.

I'm so sorry, hon. I lost my own father last year as well as my oldest brother, three weeks apart. My heart goes out to you. I miss them both every day.

Antoinette...My father died on April 26 also. 22 years ago today. I share your grief. :(

I am in tears typing this
Thank you all so much for the lovely words of encouragement.
We all share the same sadness in some way, some more than others

BUT

I wish that I could hold my dad, and talk to him, just one more time

You never know what you have until you lose it, and once you lose it, you can never get it back.

I'm sorry you are having a hard day :(

Im sorry honey. It's a tough time . But try to remember the good times.
Whe you memorialize these times every year , it makes the pain somehow less painful.
He would rather you remember all the fun times the the painful times , don't you think ?
I lost my Dad when I was still a teenager at my brothers wedding.

OMG that is so so sad......... supposed to be a joyful time at a wedding then.............
Sad day when your brother's wedding anniversary come up

Yes , it was hard for them ,but they had to separate the two . So they remember my father
and celebrate their anniversary. It's much easier to remember the good times .
It feels like yesterday for me and always will. But since they had their first born son , he carries on my Dad's name :).
It's the hardest thing to lose a parent, but I'm sure your Dad would be so proud of you , so continue making him proud , do good things in life for one another .
I try to make the best decisions I can , I always asked myself , what would Dad do ?
Or I used to ask my Mother if she thinks Dad would approve . With Dad behind me in spirit , there is nothing I can't do :). Same goes for you honey :)
