Budgies
I adopted two young female budgies about 6 months ago and since then we've made good progress toward taming and such, but they're real home bodies and when they're not in their cage they're on top of it or perched on the drapes behind.
I feel like my training is being restricted by my birds' strong desire to stick to only their cage or the drapes. How can I teach them that the world outside their cage is full of fun and not something to fear?

Ziggy, Kai, and Seiji (blue, yellowface, and dilute budgies)
Jasper (yellow-naped amazon)
Lilla (senegal parrot)
Snowberry (yellow-crowned amazon)
Cricket (pacific parrotlet)
Be patient, take it slow. Get them on your hand with millet or another treat and then move slowly away, a little at a time. Try target training.

Yuko [M] - Yellow headed Budgie. [Healthy, Tame.]
Snowii [F] - BV dilute opaline lovebird. [Healthy, hand-raised.]
Luna [F] - Indigo budgie. [RIP,.]
it may take time... just wait for a lil longer. my budgie, yuko, is tame. he was terrified of new stuff when he was tamed (about 8 months ago) now all he does is go around and look at new objects.
