LOL!! I'm excited, too!! :D

We had our first little bit of the white stuff this morning/afternoon. More like bouncy rain, and it didn't amount to anything. I'm more than happy to wait to see real snow, thank you.

I've had the AC off most of this past week at sundown. It's been getting below 60°. Temps are back to or above 80° during the day. Still need air driving about town. My joints are starting to moan and groan in anticipation of cooler weather. I don't mind snow as long as it's not here.

Yay!!! Had our first snowfall last night/ this morning. Buster the budgie is excited but that’s just because he gets excited about everything 😄

Winters here in Southern Noo Yawk have been typically untypical for the last decade or so, especially when compared against winters from when I was a kid. Back then (God, I sound like such an OLD person!), you could count on a week or more of single digit oF degree temps and 2 or 3 snowfalls of 4-5" minimum and often more! In comparison, last year we had 1 day at 10 degrees an no more than 2" total of snow for the season! At my age, you can keep the big snow, but how disappointing for kids.

We've had less snowfall up here, too. Last year was unseasonably warm. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a lot of rain this year, which raaarely, if ever, happens.

Winter last year in Maine where I live was colder than any other winter we had since I moved back here in 2017. Snow was reasonable until April when we got significant snow just about every week, making all of May nothing but time spent melting, as my sister in New Jersey 7 hours south welcomed green grass and leaves on the trees while our trees were barely budding. However Maine summers hit fast, hard and hot, and this year it lasted through early October. We had Temps in the low 90s the first week of October!
Now I'm NOT looking forward to the white stuff, not because I hate the cold, because temps in the 40s feel good to me, but my home addition project isn't completed, and the last thing I need right now is snowfall! I hope I get another few weeks without it so I can finish enough of this major six month long project to batten down the hatches for winter.
