So, I’ve been wanting to get Bluebell a friend for a long time. I just feel that she’s lonely because she’s not as interested in me, and is really not that active and engaged. She’s still curious, but not like my other two birds. So, I’m getting another budgie. The breeder where I got Kermit from has several new babies, and we’re deciding on a white female. Besides GCC and budgies, she also breeds tiels, ringnecks, lovebirds, kakarikis, and Bourke’s parakeets. Her birds are all hand fed and very friendly. I will go to her house to get the bird in a few days, not sure when. The bird likes to hang upside down from her finger like Kermit (I saw a video), likes to fly, and is very sweet. Right now I’m thinking of names: Pearl, Luna, Opal, or maybe Angel are the candidates right now.

Congrats on your new bird!

I had a white female named Clicky, she loved to hang out with me, she mastered tricks in only 5-10 minutes. Clicky wasn't albino, she was a double factor spangle. It took months to figure out what mutation she was since she had dark eyes with visible irises.

ParrotLover2001, I saw your YouTube channel and it looks like you got a new lutino cockatiel named Skittles! How is he/she doing?

How about a white flower, in keeping with Bluebell being a floral name? Lily, Jasmine, Daisy?

Somemore name ideas?
Snowdrop, cotton, vanilla, snowball, winter, Icy.
Angel is a good name.

I like the idea of a flower name. I hate the cold so I wouldn’t want a name that has to do with winter, but I do like those names for a white budgie.

Ah that is so exciting! Well, my two violet/cobalt budgies are named Pearl and Opal, so my vote for names is definitely those!

I hope you and Bluebell enjoy your new baby!

I like Lilly and Tulip for flowery names 😀 congrats on your new birdy x

She’s home!!! We’ve decided on Pearl. When transferring her from the carrier to her cage, she decided to take off and fly around the room. It took a while to get her into the cage, because does not trust me yet and won’t step up. Right now she’s nervous and closing her eyes a bit, but I also saw her preening and exploring her swing.
So, here is Pearl on her first day home!

*For some reason the pics are upside down, sorry about that :)

Congratulations on your new precious Pearl! And lovely photos too - even if they are upside-down :)

What a gorgeous baby! Good luck with the bonding process.

Pearl is coming out of her cage, exploring the room and the other birds’ cages. Kermit is acting surprisingly friendly toward her, but Pearl keeps chasing Ducky. I think she’s in love lol. Bluebell has not shown interest in being friends with Pearl yet. Once Pearl discovered seeds, it was easy to get her to step up on my finger and I’m able to get her back in the cage quite easily.

I’ve also been wondering if I should do a progress thread for Pearl, or even for my entire flock.

Beautiful ♥️♥️
