So, as some of you know, I'm bringing home this cutie in about 5 weeks.

I have all of the big items purchased for her, including her cages (both roost and day), but don't have any of the fun, little things yet! I was wondering what perches and accessories other grey owners would recommend, particularly for young CAGs.
I'm getting a few bendy and swaying rope perches, but need some ideas for natural and conditioning perches that work well for greys, as well as anything else along those lines you think she might like.
What about cage shelves?

I suppose I'd also like some toy suggestions, though I'll be waiting a while for her to settle in before I give her new toys. The aviary is going to give her some "starter" toys that she's growing up around. They're also giving me a really nice conditioning swing for her.

Any help is appreciated, as I'm brand new to being owned by a grey :D

My favorite is her grape vine perch! It's twisty, fun, and cheap! I got mine from a bird store in socal but I'm sure you can ffind them online. Swings and boings of all types are her faves.

I... I mean my grey, loves this store!
Mother Pluckin' Bird Toys - Home of the ATOM
He loves his large size atom and waffle wafers on a corkscrew skewer.

Those are really nice, but also rather pricey ):
Maybe I'll get her one for her 1st hatchday, when she's an established and confident troublemaker :D
That, and I don't have a definitive way to hang things yet. I have drop ceilings that won't support any weight at all, so I need to come up with some sort of support system, or a stand that goes up to the ceiling just to hang stuff from.

@Britt; (hope it's okay that I also call you Britt)

I've been eyeing some grape vine perches! I'm really glad to know that another grey likes them :D
I special-ordered a boing and two rope perches for Nephele in custom colours. Just need some conditioning and natural perches now!

I'm also planning on most likely making another cargo net, just for Nilly.

Would edible perches be a bad idea? My little guys have a pollen perch as well as some Jungle Walk edible perch thing, and they love them (but especially the pollen perch).

My Grey also really loves his Atom from the same site posted above by KimKim. My Grey loves puzzle toys and figures them out in a DAY, so he has a bunch and I rotate for variety. His favorite toy is probably his stainless bell with bird-safe clacker/clanger. He plays that more than I even like. LOL His next favorite toy is the one that dispenses rolls of untreated/nonthermal adding-machine paper. That one filled entertains him for an entire day.
His fav perch is one I can't find anymore and the store that sold them locally went out of business. It's made from textured acrylic and bent into a half circle. I attached those to the back of their cage and in the corners. Both birds sleep on those so I think they're really comfortable on their feet. Not sure where you'd find one today. If anyone knows, let me know because I'd buy extras to have on standby in case these ever break.

Polly's perches with the smooth parts as well as conditioning parts are my favorite. I tried a few that espresso wouldn't touch until in finally found one that was hot pink and she loves it. She's rarely in her cage but, when she is, she's almost always on her pink perch or swing. Go figure! Lol

I don't prefer edible perches just because they are messy and there are better ways fur then tho get calcium but that is totally up to you! Espresso doesn't care for cargo nets or ladders but I'm sure most greys do.

I found a page full of acrylic perches! Is it any one of these?

I do believe the swing I'm getting with Nilly is a Polly's.
For my little guys I have two safety pumice perches, and love them. I assume something like that is good for greys as well? I usually have those on the outside of the cage and they're very easy to move around because they have the cartoonishly giant plastic knob/washer.

If it turns out that she doesn't care for the cargo net, I can just give it to the little guys. Genevieve loves to climb :D But from my last visit with Miss Nillazilla, she's definitely an adventurous bird.

Shadow - Six year old Congo African Grey
Mine loves to forage, I use a plastic container and fill it with paper and egg shell cartons etc. I buy supplies and I got a drill etc and I string wooden and wicker shapes, beads and buttons from a long string of cotton. She goes through a lot of toys, so I prefer to make hers. She'd go through $200 a month in toys, easily. I also make little goodie bags with coffee filters, filled with dried fruit and nuts.

Congrats on your new addition, may she bring you many years of joy!

Presently have six Greenwing Macaw (17 yo), Red Fronted Macaw (12 yo), Red Lored Amazon (17 y.o.), Lilac Crowned Amazon (about 43 y.o.) and a Congo African Grey (11 y.o.)
Panama Amazon (1 Y.O.)
I'd throw in a calcium perch.

Mine likes hanging upside down with one toe, playing with his pipe bell toys.

They need at least one preening toy. One foraging toy. One chew toy.

They need one medium diameter natural wood perch. Two or three is better, depending on the size of the cage.

Boings are nice.

Try a stainless steel mirror. Smokey would bang it,gurgle to the bird in it,then nestle it on her shoulder and neck and wiggle it so the little bell on the bottom would "ding"....sighhhhh..Smokey...
