Hey, I have found a little (smaller than average) female blue and white parakeet, in northwest Florida. Has anyone lost their precious little girl? when I caught her she was untame, she is now semi-tame, I have had her for almost a year (got her first day of summer 2021) and people on the other forums didn't respond. Also rest assured if this is your bird, I have her on a pellet diet with veggies and fruits now. I have also taken her to the vet multiple times. She spends most of her time out of the cage, and has a large cage (like conure sized). She also does not seem to like to play... She does have a distinguishing feature, on her right foot, on the left back toe she has a missing toenail.

Here is a photo. ALSO she is provided with more perches than dowels and still provided with enrichment.

I suspect that she is now YOUR bird. Unfortunately people release parakeets into the wild all the time, when little ms ******** has lost interest. If she was lost accidentally you would think they would be looking for her. You seem to have given her a great home, I hope she keeps it.

I just canā€™t understand anyone who would ā€œlet a bird goā€ into the wild because theyā€™re tired of caring for it. Especially in a cold climate. That is basically killing the bird.

Awww...
Often kids are the owners of budgies and when they escape are presumed dead within a couple of days. So people quit looking.

Thank you for the rescue! After a year this is indeed your bird! Cutie

Okay, If you ever see someone who lost a bird that looks like her, please message me!! I am always glad to return her to her previous. (assuming they are bonded or just as caring as I am)
