Hello there! You rosella is gorgeous! Great photos but I’m afraid we can’t determine if your bird is male or female. I’m not familiar with rosellas and you didn’t tell us the age of your bird. It’s difficult if not impossible to sex birds by appearance, with most species the only way to really know for sure is to have a DNA test. Some of our members may know some physical characteristic to help you.

The bird is 8 months old - I know this from another forum where Therion also asked about it


I had written I can't help you but from what I know rosellas are so hard to say the gender by appearance but some experts can say it (I'm not sure if in this age also it is possible). If nobody won't be able to say it, you will have to do the DNA test.

I would sex your Rosella via DNA sexing for the most accurate results
I have heard of and partly put into practice 2 tricks with sexing parrots, but you have to be very skilled and knowing what you are doing
The first is male parrots usually have much larger and bulkier heads and beaks compared to females
And the second is if you find the 2 pelvic bones, the gap between the pelvic bones are a lot wider on females compared to males
