Fid Food Co-Op

I know it’s just wishful thinking...or maybe I’m just too lazy to try to make it a reality... but wouldn’t it be AWESOME if there was a Fid Food Co-Op so folks who live in the same general area could get together to share any “left over” fresh ingredients for their fid’s chop? It would be especially nice for folks like me that only have the one, but could be handy for anyone looking to expand their bird’s dietary repertoire. I know that I always end up with 9/10 of a bunch of kale, for example, that ends up going to waste cause there’s no way Tori can eat it all before it goes bad. It would be so nice to be able to trade it with someone else who has too much cucumber or pepper (like anyone could ever have too much pepper with a bird around!). It would also be truly AMAZING if any food that goes unclaimed could be donated to local parrot rescues and sanctuaries!

Excellent idea! A huge proportion of human food goes to waste due to spoilage and gets tossed. Fruits and veggies procured for fids have even shorter life than typical items.
