Sun Conure- Jewel
We have found our Sun Conure!! He/she was hatched about 4 weeks ago and is currently at a breeders near Cleveland. The timing will be almost perfect. The sun will be available for us to pick up right at the same time we will be selling cute little yorkie puppies! (taking deposits now if anyone is interested in pure breed yorkie pups!)(Shameless plug!!)

They sent the blood work today for the DNA sexing test. We should know by next week the sex and we will be able to choose a name. The workers are really great about keeping us informed of how the little guy is doing. We are dropping of an harness and they have agreed to start putting the harness on to get birdie used to it. Hopefully they will keep sending us pictures! Here are two pictures, one from a couple weeks ago and one from two days ago! So excited!

Oh my gosh what a cutie ^.^

Awww I LOVE baby birds congrats!!! :D

Absolutely adorable! I am also waiting on my new sun conure. She is 9 weeks old today and we can pick her up in about 2 1/2-3 weeks. It is amazing how much they change each week! ENJOY :)

Oh my goodness that baby is so cute!!! I bet you can't wait to get your baby home.

He looks like hes smiling in the first picture... :)

My friend is looking for a yorkie, and a pup, Ive tried to get her to rescue but she wants a puppy.. What is the parents OFA scores? She wants to buy from someone whos been responsible to xray hips and elbows since they are so prone to luxating patellas.. and she wants from a lineage that is free from Legg-calves syndrome as well... She dont mind buying from a smaller breeder again, as long as they know their lineage and have done the right prework with their pups and their parents.

So cute OMG
I bet the excitement is sky high
Fantastic that the breeder is keeping you so well informed, and a bonus with the harness....

Well, we got the news today. Our little sun conure is a GIRL!! Originally, we were thinking of calling our bird "Mango" if it was a boy. But I just feel like Mango is a boy's name and not a girls name. So we are still deciding on a name. Feel free to post up some girl sun conure names!

My sun was a little girl. I had already decided to name her after my grandmother, Georgie, and I gave her a middle name of Leona (my other grandmother's middle name). how about Lucia??

So cute!! Congrats on your new little girl! (:

Introducing........................... Jewel! We have decided we will call her Jewel! My three year old daughter actually helped us pick out her name. Here are some of the most recent pictures that the breeder has sent us. They say that she is about a week away from her first flight!

I have to say most baby birds aren't to cute, but yours is ADORABLE! Great pick!

what a little cutie!!

He is adorable!!!

What a great day we were able to have today! We visited with our beautiful little Jewel today. It made us so ready to bring her home. Three more weeks and she will be home! Here are just a small amount of pictures. I actually took 100 pictures today, but I won't post them all!!

Aw, she is so adorable!! It's so nice that you can visit your baby before she comes home. It is good for her and for your family. Love it. If you took 100 pics, you obviously are getting pretty excited. :)

Aww, she's so cute! Suns are great birds. You're gonna have SO much fun with her. Jewel is the perfect name.

I always say this, but don't shoulder a Sun (especially the kids) unless you wanna go deaf. They get excited and squawk like a supersonic boom. Suddenly, your ear is ringing and everything sounds muffled for several hours.

Ha, I know that supersonic boom too. Georgie used to love shoulder time and really behaved well on mine or my ex's shoulder. She only did that squawk on the shoulder every now and then. And YES our ears would ringgggg. ;)

She actually did really well when we visited. We were with her for three hours and not one sonic scream until she got placed back in the bird room with the other birds! Since she will be our only bird, she won't be competing with other birds for attention. Of course, she is still a sun and I know she will still be vocal!

After spending so much time with her, it is sooooo hard to wait!
