First shower

Well it finally happened, I took a shower with Nika. I often take her in the bathroom and let her play on the counter while I shower, but this time she kept flying over to the shower trying to get over the curtain. So I finished and turned the water down to lukewarm, stuck my arm out, she flew over and I brought her in. She went right to my shoulder and held on better than I would think she'd be able to on bare wet skin. I cupped my hands so it sprayed her for a while and she LOVED it! She was very relaxed, held her wings open and even closed her eyes and let herself get drenched. This is definately our new thing

It was! I'm having carpal tunnel surgery tomorrow, and I have to be there at 6 am! Which means I have to get up at 5, and wake my poor birds up! I didn't think I would have to be there so early, even god isn't awake at 5am. I guess I'll just turn on all the lights and act normal, then leave lol! Of course they'll know it's way to early, as it'll be dark out.

oh wow, that is a terrible hour! I hate that 'hurry up and wait' at the hospital.
I hope your surgery goes well and you recuperate fairly quickly!!

don't worry about waking them up, they'll probably fall back to sleep once you leave, then you'll get a big greeting when you come home.

I guess you'll have to hold them with your other hand?...hey how are you going to type, with one hand as well??
