Flash and I

My name is Darrell Tucker and i have recently received a 4 year old blue and gold macaw for my 24th birthday from my girlfriend. Ive always wanted one but havent had the time for one until now between my 2 tours to iraq in 2006 and 2008. Ive only had flash for about 2 months now but i have never had a pet that interacts with me like he does. Im already attached. He either has to be on my shoulder, on his perch close to me, or he will climb off his cage and follow me around the house. The lady we got Flash from said he doesnt like men but i beg to differ because he has taken up with me from day 1. And right now he is sitting behind me on the couch and thinks his tailfeathers have to be on top of my head. i will post more pics soon!

Welcome to the forums! Thats great that you already have such a good bond with him. I've found that my birds have been the most satisfying pets I've ever taken care of.
