Hi everyone! I just picked up a beautiful sun conure from a breeder I have a few questions and concerns.he is 3 mo 2wks. He is just about fully feathered, my breeder kept him with alot of younger birds where her still being hand fed. She told me he needs 2 more weeks of weening and he will be set. It seems like he is pretty old to still be weening, I get him to eat about half a syringe at night and that's about it. My real concern is the heat lamp. I feel like he's addicted to it. I have one in his box and when I take him out he just wants to get as close to me and cuddle. I love it but it worries me that he's this old and still very heat dependant is this normal? I want to take the warmth away but I don't want to do it too fast and get him sick from not being able to regulate his body temp, but I don't want him to be hooked on being around external heat all the time
