And about her perseverance:D

Outside time at the playground today:) He is so super soft these days! Well only I know this is true for sure since I'm still the only one allowed to touch:p

His back feathers...little blurry but you can still see how the growing in is going. He is molting a bit right now so he should start looking really white in the head area soon!

Victoria, I can hardly believe the progress Folger has made! He looks like a totally different bird. He is so white now, and he does look so soft.
In that first video, he looked like he was wearing a lei:)
And him knocking off the rice from the spoon your Mom was holding was priceless. When he tried to take the spoon (or her finger) in the last one, I laughed so loud I scared the birds..lol.

He's adorable! Lookin pretty good these days too :)

I love the funny chicken leg that came out and pushed the spoon away lol:D

He is so cute! :D what a silly bird!

Folger is adorable. I see he's getting quite a few belly and back feathers now and looks so stylish in his ruffles;) He did NOT want that rice from your mom did he!

When you take him down to the park in his travel cage, do you ever get those people who have probably never owned a parrot who come up with their chests puffed out to grill you about whether he lives in "that little cage" (secretly hoping you'll say yes so they can guilt trip you about owning a "exotic" bird)? I seem to get that when I take Kiwi down to the park in his backpack:52: A sneery "oooo he doesn't LIVE in there does he?".

HAHAHA. Chucking it on the floor. Naughty boy. He looks so good now, and his little collar looks lovely on him.

I have that same travel cage for Iris...haven't tried it out since her trip home though I hope to get her outside once she settles in.

Folger is such a little stinker!

LOL That was hilarious! I can't stop laughing!

Folger's feathers are looking great! I love his little collar. He looks super cute with it on.

Wow what progress little Folger has made. He does look so white and soft. So happy for you both that his feathers are growing back in and that he is leaving them alone. Way to go Folger & Victoria :D

He really is a stinker:D I do love how he takes things and throws them and then looks at you with a smirk. Jeanne (one of the owners from A Helping Wing) was over yesterday and said he was looking really good even if he does look like a clown with the collar on:rolleyes:

I haven't gotten anything from people when I take him out but that may be because we tend to go when their isn't many people around. I would probably tell them if you feel so bad feel free to try and get him out especially if they were being all superior about it:p

Folger is getting some confidence back and was just last night being all cute and friendly with my stepfather and then when he got close lunged right at him mouth wide open! I thought he was going to fly after him for a second:eek: And now that Folger can fly a bit that could be worrisome! I couldn't decided if this was progress or not hahaha...he has been so skittish and afraid that he hasn't been confident enough to go after people unless they are by his cage...but not running and even drawing him in seems like progress in an aggressive way:20:

He has really started going to town on toys too! He touched a hanging toy for the first time and had it completely destroyed the other day after about a week or two of him trying to decide what to do with it. He looked very proud of the mess on his floor. Apparently when Jeanne picked him up all those years ago he didn't have a single toy in his cage so he probably had no idea what to do with all the bright objects that were being given to him over the years at the shelter!

Victoria you are doing such a great job with him!! I can't even see his back skin anymore! :D

Maybe that's effort he would have previously been putting into destroying his feathers and munching on himself? Hopefully he's learning that it's better fun mucking about with all his "stuff" than himself?
