food obsession

Max my 22 month old male eclectus is obsessed with food. acts like he is starving all the time. any advice?

weigh him, feel his keel bone. if hes not overweight then let him eat, it's not a problem. I mean think about it, in the wild birds are constantly grazing. if you're worried about his weight start making him forage for his food

Thank you. His weight is good vet says I'm doing great job. but he is ridiculous. He begs which I don't like.

My ekkie guy is a total pig, but he's also very active, so he burns it off and his weight has been stable within about 5 grams or so for two years.

Possibly change perspective a little. Rather than food obsessed, maybe consider him food motivated, and use that as an opportunity for training purposes. :)
