Does anyone use a food processor to make their bird or birds food? Rosie likes most of her vegies cooked. I just used my processor for the first time. No recipes just what I had on hand. Cooked a pot of butternut squash and added small amt. hemp seed oil, grains, unhulled sesame seeds (calcium), beans, veg. powder, dark leafy greens and cinnamon. She immediately gulped down a spoon full while it was still warm.

I would say a processor is a good investment for bird cooking.

I'm going to have to look into getting one. And maybe one of those vacuum sealer things. I figure it would make it a lot easier to make certain bird foods that aren't practical in small quantities.

A food processor sure makes life much easier, and faster.
I often do a large amount of veggies, in the processor, then freeze it for those urgent meals.
I also can't do without my sealer, the one works hand in hand with the other.

I've got a food processor for when I make a large amount of food. I also use the Magic Bullet for smaller jobs....

I loooooooove my food processor, I use it almost as much as my Kichen Aid mixer. It's great to make nut butters with no salt or sugar and hummus. I've used it to slice/chop veggies for Max and the Girls but never to make a soft food. However, I made a very good gaspacho for our family one time.

Personally, I'd recommend one for anyone who cooks even moderately often, but it makes prepping veggies for parrots so much easier.
