Maui LOVES baths. seriously, she(or he?) takes about two baths a day, EVERY DAY. It's adorable, but I just want to make sure this isn't a sign of anything wrong? Or is this normal? I've had Maui since mid September so about 2 months now, so I'm still new to this :) Thanks!

It's totally normal :) our birds love their baths, it's beneficial to them. My conure takes several dips a day and often showers with me. So no worries it's what they're supposed to do.

Hi Ashleigh - I don't see any harm in Maui taking two baths a day as long as you're keeping the water clean, and that it's not too cold and no drafts about. If it really does bother you, just put the bird bath in for a little while and remove it after Maui uses it.

So glad to hear it's normal, thanks! She always wants to get under the facet when I'm washing something lol I usually just fill up a Tupperware and she jumps in that and takes a bath. After she will come and cuddle and sleep in my sweater to stay warm :)

Lol mine is a faucet-diver as well, and learned early on never to use very hot water when he's around. Be cautious of anything bubbling on the stove more than a few birds have plunged into boiling pots.

LOL so i'm not the only one, my bird absolutely LOVES doing cleaning with me, she gets to hang on my shirt and move around the house and all the bending over and everything she loves it. The most difficult part is anything to do with the sink, she gets excited and really tries to get in the sink but I won't let her.

I haven't been doing baths for a while because of being buisy with life not to mention it getting cold lately.
