Aleta - Pineapple GCC (Hatch date July 2 2013), Fry & Sprite - Budgies
I've heard of a peach faced love bird, but never a hot-pink faced budgie. This is how I found Fry when I got home from work today. (sorry for the poor cellphone quality pics) It seems he has taken a sudden liking to the cuttlebone surrounded in mineral block. That thing has been in his cage for years and he's never shown an interest in it. Apparently that is no longer the case. The pictures just don't do it justice, he really has a hot pink face. :D

Christine, the pic isn't showing up:(
I hope you can fix it, I want to see Fry's face!

Ohh... I don't know how to make it work. I only know how to copy and paste the pictures.. it shows up on my screen.. Any suggestions?

Can you upload it to you album here and share it from there?

Can you see the picture now Terry? I can see it on my phone now, not just the laptop. :)

YAY! I can see it, and Fry looks adorable!!! He looks quite embarrassed to be...er, pink.
I bet you were freaked out when you first saw him!

Aww...he's like a teenager that dies their hair a bright color...he's rebelling..lol. (actually he's just adorable)

He looks so embarrassed! What a cute pic!

Yay! Glad the picture worked!
At first I thought it was a reflection off a shiny toy in his cage. My second thought when he moved and I realized it was actually on his face, was to check that Sprite was ok! I was worried maybe they had squabled. She is happy and still green. :)

He must have really been scratching it up to get the dust all over himself. :D

ROTFL! That's so funny! I'd just finished looking at appalling pictures of my favourite great-niece on facebook (she dyed her glorious blonde hair BLUE yesterday!!!) and now you show me a pink-faced budgie. LOLOLOL! What is the world coming to?

My son is always asking me if we can get budgies again, but for now his Dad is adamant that we can't have any more cages. :( Budgies are among the more charming birdie personalities (don't need to tell you that, do we?) and, like lovebirds, are a pure pleasure to keep. Your Fry looks like an utter character and thanks for sharing his - um - disturbing photo. LOLOLOL! :)

You haven't been letting him watch Seinfeld, have you? (episode: The Face Painter) :D

The cuttlebone had a pink mineral block surrounding it. And yes, Fry just went to town on it. Nothing but a small piece left. I have a yellow version of the same thing. Perhaps I should switch it out and see if he will start to look tie dye! Silly bird. :)

..I'm going to have to rethink my plans to dye my hair...

Adorable bird! I didn't know colored blocks could do that!

Fry chose a wonderful color for himself, he wears it well!

My galah has (had, almost, there's only a little bit left) a chewable perch and I got a shock when I saw the orange colour transferred to her feet, until I realised what it was from. Maybe pink and orange shades aren't the best choice until you're used to them, otherwise you just think your bird has an injury.
