Full spectrum light

Going outside is not feasible right now so I am looking at full spectrum lighting. Where is the cheapest place to get the bulbs? Can I use the same bulbs that are for reptiles? I need ones that can be used in a standard socket.

Don't know what your thinking is on the efficacy of what is currently sold as full spectrum lighting, but you might want to read the following articles...earlier posts/threads on the forum.....

If your talking UVB bulbs.. Your better off putting his cage by an open window...( UVB reflects quite a bit and you'll get more useable UVB than most of the bulbs)..if your just talking full spectrum bulbs like the ones they sell at Home depot for your home.... Any will work.. But I really don't think it's necessary ..

Most UVB bulbs put out very little useful UVB.....

Thanks, after I posted this I figured out how to search and read a lot of threads here. Lots to consider. We will see the vet next week, I think, so I will discuss with her as well. =)
