Titus
Forest
Captain
And my partners fav is pirate or Willie
I really like hippie names April
Melody
Rain but I don’t know many boy ones

Smokey is always a good name for a Grey.
Buddy, cuz most male parrots get called that as an incidental name.
Cloudy
Dallas

I could on......

Smokes I love that one , I know him lol . Those are great

I tend to take my name's from plants or rocks/minerals or mythology. Lincoln is an exception to this...

List of grey/blue/silver flowers/plants.

Some personal faves from the list:
Plant (possible nickname or name derived from it)
Achillea (Achilles)
Alyssum (Aly, Alice, Alyssa)
Artemisia (Artemis, Arty)

ofc I have a unique taste in names kinda xD

Those are beautiful and so unique I will check into plants and such , thanks that’s a different avenue

Moonlight
Dusty
Master ( because you will become his human slave pretty darn quickly)
Boss
Shadow

Personally, I'd wait until after he was home for a few days to see what name suited him best to decide:)

LOL. My mom was indeed an 'original hippie' in the 60's/70's (and still is). Never really thought of my name as a hippie name before, but I guess it kind of is.

How bout that !
Wrench I’m lovin boss and master too. Yes we will wanna wait till we meet him a couple times , it’s fun and very helpful getting new unthought of names , thank you so much!
Speaking of hippies , April loves mungo Jerry’s “ in the summertime” she sings along loud to that one, but those chops holy cow are they a riot! .....remember that one I bet you heard that one in your childhood

When we got our CAG, we waited till we got home and named him Buzz because he kept buzzing at us, a warning we were too close. I do love the name Smokey or Smokes though. Buzz knows his name too, I can say Buzz and his head whips around, he’s so smart. Get ready for one sharp bird coming home with you soon.

Yup, I know that one and I just googled the video and OMG those....sideburns? I don't even know what you'd call those...things on his face lol. My mom had a huge record collection but didn't really let me watch TV, so I don't recall seeing most of the videos that went with these songs growing up. What were they thinking back then?! I wasn't born until the 1980's but still grew up on a steady diet of Pink Floyd, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Hendrix (those are the big ones I remember as a kid hearing a lot of, though I know there were more I heard less frequently)....

To the OP, unless you are really set on a name, maybe wait awhile until you see his personality.
My adopted CAG already had a name for years so I kept it. BUT, if I was to rename him according to his personality it would have been..."pain the a**".

Of course I am kidding...somewhat. :05:

I was going to suggest Buzz, I like that name for a bird. Not so much for a human lol. I also like the name Mello, but he might be anything but mello.

Thank you everyone who suggested some great names , I ended up head over heels for a cape. We call him mojo

My totally new names are from either literature or ancestors. Tommy after a distant cousin I thought was dead but isn't so shhh, Chloe from my great great great aunt, George was from Of Mice and Men, Obie from Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Most birds join my flock with a name already though.
Of course, considering where I live, Billy Bob, Bubby and Fat Boy are popular. HAHA

Congratulations! Capes are certainly interesting! I know someone who breeds Poi birds! So, again, congratulations! The name is great!

I am getting a baby grey soon (next april, ish).

The names that I have are:
-Andy
-Into (Int-o (int- like into (without the o) o like in optimist)it means enthusiasm or eagerness in Finnish)

Not sure if it's going to be a girl or boy.

Maverick or Clint
