This kitty's portrait was 'in memoriam'. Sold in my eBay store.
Very unusual coloring... almost calico-like, with fur that was very light at the roots and darkened towards the ends. And the palest, minty-greenest eyes I've ever seen. In the painting, they really follow you.
This was his special cushion, which is still around.
He passed recently, and I just mailed this package out, due to arrive on Monday, so we'll see what his family thinks! They miss him a lot, and look forward to a remembrance of him. If you like, you can join me in awaiting their feedback on eBay.
Okay, I can be pretty nutty, but... here's a funny thing. As I was portraying him, the thought popped into my head... the sound of an odd, loud "MAAAAAWWWW" type of meow. In correspondence, I asked the owner if the cat had a special meow. She said yes, that it sounded like he was calling "Maaaa! Maaaa!"
I have funny experiences like this sometimes, while portraying a pet. I often have the sweetest, warmest exchanges with the owners or parronts.
