Oh Lord. It's funny, but just not ok. So, we have a very active household. Until recently, our GCC, Gonzo, was absolutely in love with my sister. He is also attached to my husband. My husband is a musician, Gonzo gets lots of dancing and singing opportunities. We have two other birds in our living room and Gonzo is in our room. We let him out every morning. He had been known to sleep with my sister. He would rub against her and purr. However, recently, he had become very aggressive. He walks around outside her bedroom door and cries until she opens it. When she does, he attacks her toes, to the point of starting blood. My sister screams and runs. I catch him, calmly, tell him no bite ascend take him back to my room. This is really new and I'm not sure what's going on. I'm wondering if it's jealousy. He's bit my toes, my husband's toes and my nephew's toes. Recently, we rescued two baby Starlings that are requiring hand feeding. I'm the only one feeding them. I'm wondering if that's the problem. He's about 1.5 years old. Help us. My sister is scared to leave her room. It's kinda funny though....I also told her not to react. If he's bored that's just encouraging the behavior. Also, suggestion got outside of the cage toys? He doesn't play with the ones in his cage.

Have your sister leave the room with slippers on, so when he bites she wont react and then it may just become old news. I see Sheldon our GCC go through stages. He becomes Kujo for a few days. Scares the hell out of me. Then he gets over it. We try to give him his space without deserting him. Could be hormones

Don't let him on the floor my bird also has a hate for toes because unlike when they bite u on ur fingers and u can contain itself not to react ...toes hurt a lot and it's VERY HARD not to react so they do it because u react and "run away screaming" :) just don't let it on the floor and if it does bite ignore it -hope that makes sense and helps

My harley gets psychotic sometimes. Like he will go on these rampages of screaming his battle cry then I try to calm him down and he goes full out attack/defense mode. Like he jumps on my head and screams at the air.... Makes me wonder if he's yelling at a ghost. Lol

We've moved his cage to the living room. We hung a divider, preventing access to my sister's room. Suddenly, he's back to loving on her. No more toe bites. I think he's happier bring where the other birds are. Although, my other birds are not happy about it. Lol I think they'll adjust though.

Holy crap! The little toot just swooped down, landed on my foot and bit the crap out of my toe! He's in time out!
