GCC feather issue?

Hi I'm new here this is grubby.

I Have a question tho ,you see that white feather right there it's really THICK and fluffy feeling its thick enough to be a tail feather but it feels like a down feather.

He's had this feather for his whole life as far as I know and I'm wondering if it'll ever fall out and if you've ever seen one like it before.

EDIT: Oh I forgot to mention it's normally hidden under his green feathers but you need to move them off to the side to see it.

That's his preen-gland feather. When he oils his feathers, he pulls oil from the gland at the base of that feather and spreads oil on his plumage. Totally normal, nothing to worry about. It looks exactly like the one my GCC has :)

Wow thanks that's actually pretty amazing I didn't know that's what they looked like.

I'd never knew what those looked like....So I grabbed my female and looked and it was right there! Haha learn something new everyday. She's glaring at me from across the room now...
