Just joined you blokes and wanted to do an intro. Aussie here on walkabout through the US.. have settled in Columbia SC and Airbrushing for a living. Have owned a variety of birds over the years and now looking to get a new one.. great forum's here and a helluva lot of info.. looking forward to lurking and learning. G'day! Where are you from originally? I'm in Newcastle, NSW.

Are you planning on returning to Oz eventually? If so, you probably won't be able to bring a pet bird with you. Our quarantine laws have tightened considerably in recent years, especially with the new suite of hantaviruses floating about. If your ultimate plan is to come back to Oz, then you'd need to be sure that some friend or acquaintance in the US will be able to take your bird and give it a great home.

Just something to bear in mind.
