Ginger has been calming down slowly for me during the past month she has been here. My granddaughters were here over the weekend and always want to go in my room (where the birds are quarantined) and see Fred and Ginger. Fred comes out, as usual, but my youngest granddaughter (Skyla's momma) wanted Ginger...

Beautiful girls and beautiful birds :) That last photo is so peaceful!!! Great shot!

Leanna, these photos are so sweet! Your granddaughters are lovely! Fred and Ginger look delighted with their visitors. Skyla's mom has obviously made a wonderful impression on Ginger.

Beautiful pictures! I loved every last one! There is just something about the joy on a child's face who has a genuine love for animals. Always brings a smile to my face.

These are SO gorgeous! You should hang them on the wall. So lovely!

Such sweet pics :)! Are you entertaining the thought of giving Fred and Ginger to them?

Thanks everyone! I was so surprised at Ginger and my youngest granddaughter. My older granddaughter "likes" the birds but doesn't have that passion...and that's okay. Not everyone is a "bird person".

RavensGryf...originally when I got Fred and Ginger, I was really only looking to get Fred but I couldn't leave Ginger there with the people not knowing what they would do with her as she looks so rough. I had said I would get her back on the right track and then "maybe" give her to a family member if they wanted her. I had mentioned it to my son and he said he would like to get a cockatiel at some point. So that is up in the air. I don't know how either tiel would do without the other, even though I don't think they are bonded, I don't want to stress them by separating them. My oldest granddaughter is not biologically related to me, the granddaughters are half sisters (different fathers), but she has been in our lives since she was a toddler so to us, she is ours. She lives with her grandmother so I would not give her a bird to take home. My youngest granddaughter lives with my son, so if I did ever give them Ginger and/or Fred, they would have to stay at his house. I guess we will just see what happens...
