Hi guys and Gals,
Caesar is ignoring me again as I had to go to the supermarket. Has anyone taken their bird into a supermarket and know there policy on this subject? I spose I could of taken him and pretended
he was my "Seeing Eye Bird"!!!...Ahahahaha...
anyone had problems with this or r they fine with it?:green2:

I have taken Fargo into clothes stores, but never ones with food..

I am fairly sure you wouldn't be allowed to take them in, because of the health concerns ;)

I know a lady in America takes her bird into every type of store and has no troubles.. But don't think it would be allowed in Australia.. :p

A few years ago i took my puppy into a shopping center, a mall type thing, he was in a handbag, never touched the ground or other people.. and shop owners had no problem with him... but the security man said he wasn't allowed to be in there, even though no shopkeepers minded, they all loved him

I sure don't want anybody bringing any animal into my food store - I always wash my hands after I handle any of my pets or pet products, and I sure would not buy any produce from a store, or meat produce, deli products, etc., from a store that permitted pets in it. Ugh.

See, what i find silly though, is in my town anyway.. There are kids who come in to the food stores, covered in dirt, wearing no shirt, no shoes, screaming....

and yet they are allowed in.. Yet Fargo who is spotless, clean, well mannered, isn't allowed in ;)

Horse sculpter on here has pictures of his Macaw [Sunny] .In Homedepot and Walmart :)(say he cant stay in the car !!!] LOL

I don't think regular stores would have a problem with it, but ones that carry food most likely wouldn't allow any bird in their store...I personally would not take my bird to the grocery store with me.

Now home depot- I think they let in any animal as long as it's well behaved lol I think I see at least half a dozen dogs in there every time I go lol

Do it! And see what happens! You'll most likely be asked to leave the store. You can try saying it is a service bird but you better have documentation.

FYI, I have seen posted on my local Home Depot a no pets allowed sign.
