Gone all day with no TV no radio

Felt like such a bad parront when I came back. Perjo stuck in her cage with just a bowl of pellets, her water and a breakfast treat bowl. Forgot to turn on background noise to keep her company.

Was planning on being gone 3.5 hours, was gone 6.5.

I imagine if this were a day to day thing it would not be good for a parrot, but a rare occastion I think she'll forget soon enough.

That is fine, your baby will forgive you As long as its not like that everyday, but just so happened to be that way today. Be sure to spend some extra time with her, tell her you're sorry, and she'll forget all about it! (And a couple tasty treats may help )

I feel bad for my kids too..I work a 12 hour shift (6:30 pm to 6:30 am) and it takes me an hour fifteen minutes to get there then home,so I'm gone 15 hours a day
I can put my stereo on timer for 2 hours,so I set it up before leaving and it turns off so its quiet for their bed time,then I get home around 7:45am,but then have to go to bed so the radio gets turned on again.

Luckily my schedule is sorta ok..I work 3 days have 2 off then work 2 days then have 3 off and get every other Friday thru sunday off so I do have time with them
Luckily I don't have to work tonight or Thursday night,we are getting 8 to 14 inches of snow starting about 4am!
