Got my first bag of Harrisons pellets

Mack,my 29y.o. BFA had been on seeds since before I rescued him.His vet likes Harrisons pellets,so I got a bag.Moistened them with a bit of warm water,put ten in his food bowl and stood back to see what would happen.Ten minutes later they were gone and he is giving me the stink-eye and nibbling his bowl wanting more.Methinks this will not be a difficult transition!

Very nice! My vet encouraged me to get Harrison pellets and I did but Buddy tossed them. When I got him, he's 24 yo, and was on a seed diet and I suspect now a human food diet, lol. Since I've had him he eats fruits, veggies, rice, egg, chicken and other bird friendly foods. I'll have to try moistening the pellets, thanks for that tip!

We haven't tryd that brand yet but Taco tosses out the pellets to get to the seed. We tryd mixing seed to pellet 50/50 but his stuborness overall is keeping him eating just the seed so far. But he's also get fruit and veggies along with some human food every day.
