Hey guys, a few weeks ago I found out a new kind of perch I'd thought I'd try out.
Tom my Gcc has little daggers for nails, though they are a good length they are soooo very sharp they almost make me bleed.
While making an order on MakeYourOwnBirdToys.com ( https://makeyourownbirdtoys.com/ )I came across this perch (I know how sensitive the topic of sand perches is)
This perch is crushed walnut shells held with glue to a wooden perch but the grains don't come off like regular sand perches, they are also not as abrasive. I have one in Tom's cage and purchased another for my budgies.
My boy Striga has a real nail problem, his longer toes nails grow waaaay faster than normal and I hate to restrict him so hopefully this helps a bit.
