I have a Green Cheek Conure who is 3 and i have had him for a little over 2 years. The last few days he has decide to go th the bottom of his enclosure and tear up the liner and hide in it. Any clue as to what is going on or is a maturity thing?

Surely could be.
They reach maturity at 2-3, if I recall correctly! But I only really know about Pt
Until some experts come along, I recommend the SEARCH tab above to read about Patagoanians...
Good for you for reaching out.

Welcome to you and your GCC!!

Very common behavior for a parrot, but I am not a conure expert and unfamiliar with their age of maturity. Highly likely our conure parronts will stop by and give great advice!

sounds like an average day of a GCC to me

considering the time of year and the age very much sounds like an attempt to make a nice little nest, you ever had him DNA tested? You may find out that he is a girl soon if that is making a nest, maybe try to get a little extra calcium in the diet just to be on the safe side if he does turn out to be a girl and lays some eggs

I'd dismiss it as a conures natural tendency to chew and destroy ALL THE THINGS...

But Lordtriggs has a point, At the store you can find orange juice fortified with vitamine D and calcium. and conures love orange juice!
