They are actually blue crowned conures but they are still lovely. That are bigger than gcc and typically fully green apart from they're blue head and their adorable conure eyes.
I love conure rings around the eyes.

Amazing video, thanks for sharing! Rowdy little buggers, looks like they are enjoying their freedom.

There are "wild" parrots in my neighborhood too (LA County, near Pasadena)! They hang out on trees and phone lines and steal fruits and everything, lol

The Concrete Jungle: Uncovering the Mystery of Wild Parrots in Southern California | Havasi Wilderness Foundation

Many Southern California residents are amused and intrigued by the parrots, and enjoy having them around. One of the dangers of a naturalized exotic animal however, is its potential to become invasive. The U.S. Department of Agriculture defines an invasive species as “ a species that is non-native (or alien) to the ecosystem under consideration, and whose introduction causes or is likely to cause economic or environmental harm or harm to human health.” Many people have speculated as to whether these naturalized parrots pose a threat to the native ecosystems. Although these birds are not sufficiently studied, so far it appears that they are a benign addition to the natural habitat.

I, for one, welcome our new parrot overlords.

Well that is just really cool to see. Was kind of difficult to hear, but my two BCCs make similar noises when they get stirred up. Little bit of bickering going on with that flock. I see that occasionally with Tootsie and Rosco too. I intervene when it happens because Tootsie being so old and frail, I don't want Rosco to bully her any.

I have seen flocks of wild parrots when I was living north of Fort Lauderdale. There were some Cherry Heads that I'd occasionally see at a distance near the airport I worked at. And once when I was out walking, I took a break on a bench and ended up with about 30 Quakers right in front of me foraging. I was cursing myself for leaving my phone at home.

I was delighted to see them in the area. People may say that they are introduced and don't belong. But heck, most of the plant life in south Florida in populated areas is introduced as well.

Thanks, thanks, thanks.
I will follow up, if i can.
I see that now, Zephyr.

I haven't heard much of it of late... but some years ago there was an entire colony of Quakers living OUTSIDE year round in a city in New Jersey. I recall seeing photos of them and their huge "nest" they constructed. They made it thru the cold winters just fine... which really amazed me.

Notdum, that *IS* astounding!

Zephyr, I'm totally ashamed of missing the conure type! I took their word for it, then add to that I'm blind without y glasses, and...

How did I miss a bunch of Paulies?!

Gail, admit it, this was a pop quiz, wasn't it? :)
I wish I had a flock of them outside my house!

She pop-quizzes me all the time. Whats the bird's scientific name, where is he from, what are primary feathers, when did he get sexually mature, so forth so on. I make up answers, where's he from? Dante's Inferno. What's his scientific name? Peticus Worstiosis. Pft.
