hello can anyone tell me who might breed the green tighed caique. they are really hard to get hold of.
are there any breeders on this site or anyone who may know of one please.

Where are you located? In Australia NSW I know that Ian Addcock breeds white-bellied caiques and Andrews Bird & Pet Palace in Fairfield, Sydney keeps them sometimes.

I've only heard of black capped, and white bellied caiques.

surprisingly enough there's a handful of different subspecies. Most of them just look like the white bellies with slight differences. Green thighed is just one of them.

I'll write that a bit more precisery: There are 2 species of caiques: black capped (2 subspecies) and white bellied (3 subspecies). Green tighed parrot is one of WBC subspecies. In some classifications each WBC subspecies can be separate species - then there're 4 caigue species

hi i live in England and they are really hard to get, i have now managed to buy another one but waiting on a DNA test to find out if its a **** or hen. i already have a **** bird and he does not like this new baby bird, nor does my black head hen, they all have their own cages and i am doing a very slow introduction on this little bird.
