I there.....
I have had the privileged of being a guardian to 3 African Grey parrots in my life time.
Congo the male was a loving, affectionate and very playful little character. If ignored for a long period of time, he became extremely loud. (R.I.P.)
Gigi the female, lady of the house, loved to be cuddle, rubbed all over and lay tucked under our t-shirts at night. Always loved loads of attention. (R.I.P.)
Mishka, male (present bird) is such a loving and giving bird. Always wanting to talk and kiss everyone, entertaining us 24/7.
All my birds loved both male and females alike. All being so affectionate and loving, in a different kind of way.
Thanks goodness there was never any aggressiveness. No hormonal problems. All three loved to talk and be part of our family.
Perhaps I have been extremely lucky, but I believe it is the way you bring the bird up, treating him with love and respect, following a routine and always been there for them, basically just like a human child.
