Well Nigel's starting to be a big bird. He has, up until now, been a needy baby bird. The first few weeks he was home we basically worked on bonding, learning simple tricks. He would go into the cage but you knew he didn't like it. This week, he has begun stepping into the cage. Yay Nigel! Next step is using the cool play top and actually playing there. He's just learned to play with toys and climbing is slowly getting better. Ah Nigel...silly bird.

Way to go Nigel Well Done you are getting more independent and soon you will be climbing up to that lovely playground on top of your cage and having lots of fun up there. ..good times ahead Nigel and tons of fun exploring :)

I can see Nigel's CAG attitude developing...I'm sure today he was asking me if I was aware his dish needed refilling. See photo!

Nigel is really cute ( for a grey bird)! J/K, he has a very expressive face. Has he started taling or making squeeks yet?

Nigel is already doing wolf whistles, and has said hello! He is very chatty, the earliest chatter ever! This week I began training him to lay on his back in my hands (not something greys generally go for) but he's taken to it easily. Poo training has been easy too almost there...

Is a wolf whistle the whistle guys make at a pretty woman?

If so I never heard it called that before, LOL, and I'm not what you'd call young.

Yes, Nigel is doing great with potty training. Some accidents but almost there. He's so smart and the treat and praise when he gets it right is a motivator!

Yes, I taught that right away to Nigel...maybe my ego needed boosting?
