Guess what!?!

This morning I made my usual rounds like always around the house and opened my bird cage to let them out to play. They started flying around the house when all of a sudden my Nanday lands on my head and walks down my arm! I was able to walk with her there for a few steps before she flew away but she only circled and came right back to my head. Then she flew off and landed on my desk so I walked up to her and put my arm out, she bit down on my shirt and pulled herself up onto my arm! She's still biting me but I'm doing that gentle blowing in her face and she stops. I'm so happy I could just scream!! Something that I'm doing is helping with this bird. I just wish the male Sun would let me hold him too. But maybe if he watches her with me then he'll trust me a little bit more. I'm sooooooo happy!! I just had to tell someone! This is day 3 with me and we are making some real progress!!

I sure hope it helps him! I'm so excited about her finally befriending me I've called my husband at work and texted my daughter at school lol. I gave her a cracker when she landed on my head.....MISTAKE! I had to rebrush my hair to get the crumbs out lol. But it was worth it!

Maybe I should tell you that my Nanday is a little cosmetologist. Giving me new, unwanted hair styles ranks high in her favorite things to do. When she's done I look like a dandelion gone to seed, lol! My mother's hair drives her crazy. I think she loves the shade of blonde it is. When my mom is here she just keeps begging to get into her hair, but my mom is afraid to let her.
