Look who we brought home yesterday!!

Meet Verde Birdy.

She is such a little trooper, eating and drinking everything we offer. Finally figured out brocolli is for eating - not standing in Raspberries are a favourite and of course sunflower seeds are her cocaine!!

Super dooper curious - we let her free flight inside today and she came looking for us.

Taken straight away to her fuzzy sleep hut and no poops inside - shocked! ha

She is weary of hands and doesn't yet know how to step up - but is a quick learner. We've been offering a sun flower seed to make her stretch stretch stretch then have to jump on hand to get it. Once she's on she couldn't care less. Sat on hubby today for hour or so before flying to come find me.

Needless to say, I'm totally smitten

Congrats on Verde! What a cutie. She's just getting used to you and her surroundings still. Try not to give direct staring eye contact at first, and she'll come around to trust soon it sounds like. Does she take food from your hand? That's a good start. If not just be patient while you enjoy her

Oh my goodness she is so adorable! She has a real cheeky face to her. I love how each of these birds has a different kind of look- they have features for sure!! Or is that just when you've looked at thousands of them? haha!

I just brought my baby home yesterday so we'll go through the growing pains at the same time it looks like

She's totally cheeky!! Discovered "razz-berries" tonight - woah are they good fun!

And "someone" found me in another room hiding haha. She's a bit clever. Doing super well at stepping up today, bit stunned how quick and eager to learn she is.

We've introduced the aviator harness today, and once again she's so welcoming of it. Wasnt keen on going over head bit, but sunflower seed soon coaxed her. She's already putting both wings up when I touch "armpit" so that bit was easy. Yet to slide the strap through the bars etc, but doing super dooper well!!
