Hi, I haven't been on here in a while.
When i got my first sun conure he was 6wks old and i hand fed him.
When i got my secound one from a breeder ot was explained to me the food had to be heated. To a certain temp which i cant rember which it was. Is this true.

I think it's just to take the cool off the food - from what I understand it food is too hot, it can burn; if its too cold it can ferment in their crop? I'm sure a birdy guru will be on here soon to confirm. I have a vague recollection 40 deg Celsius is the magic number.

6wks is so little!! How adorable. I remember hand feeding handrearing formula to my babies and it had to be warmed up, similar to a baby's bottle..tested on the inside wrist

I've read that you shouldn't go any higher than 105 deg Fahrenheit. Kagan is correct, too hot could burn right through the crop, and too cold has it's own issues.
There are people on the forum experienced in hand-rearing, try doing a search on the topic (The "search" button near the top of the page.) You may find many of your questions have already been answered.

In order to hand feed the temperature has to be just right, so an accurate thermometer is required. The consistency of the formula is equally important.

Never us a microwave to heat the formula, as it leaves hot spots. If you have a slow eater, I'd suggest keeping the container with the formula inside a bowl of water that has the required temperature. Between 103 and 105 degrees is a good temperature.

Please don't trust your wrist to accurately take the temperature. :)
