just a quick question. i know some people have tried it just fine but i was
wondering about something and wanted more insight. i've been handfeeding
Cloud since i got him with a new container of handfeeding formula. he's almost
at the age where he'd be eating pretty much by himself, and i'm almost out
of formula. since he's eating pellets just fine, i was wondering if it's ok to
continue handfeeding him a mixture of those pellets (powdered) and water.
just a few ml as usual and leave him with his weaning food that he's pretty
much chowing down on already; enough to fill him up.

i just want to know if it's ok coz i don't want to get a brand new container of
formula to use just a bit then discard the rest, since they aren't really that
cheap and i don't want it to go to waste.

oh and on that note.. i've heard some people suggesting cheerios as one of
the weaning foods i could be giving Cloud. don't know much about that. any
information would be appreciated!

As far as the Cheerios, the ladies who were taking care of Jasper said he could have some, not the yummy peanut butter or cinnamon, just the plain ones. I think it might have been one of the treat snacks they were giving the weaning babies.

Joeyx at this stage you can make a mash out of just about anything. Warm sweet potato, pumpkin. cooked rolled oats. And of course the pellets. Just thin down to the consistancy of the formula. But if you do buy some formula & will use it in the future it freezes real well. I keep all mine in the freezer.

yeah i figured as much. guess i don't have to get more formula, since i know i won't be
using it for a loooong time.

I use cheerios as a weaning food for all of the birds I've ever weaned. It is a GREAT food for them to learn to munch and crack things.
