I have some neighbors who do a lot of fireworks for no reason. During the summer, there are illegal fireworks almost every night. I don't currently have birds, but when I did they all seemed to lose sleep during the fireworks and were tired in the morning. Luckily they all seemed to get accustomed to it eventually.
Happy 4th! Neither my CAG, dogs or cats show anything with fireworks. One dog will growl if they're too close to house. I may have made a miscalculation with a new toy for my CAG. Received it yesterday. She showed interest as I removed it from pkg. Then wanted out of cage to investigate. She began touching and inspecting it immediately. Toy is larger than anticipated. She knocks it and it chimes. Similar to wind chimes. She chimed it at her lights out telling me to go to bed, at dawn, lights on, and randomly. It won't replace her Kong or chew items. It's another outlet for boredom prevention. It's name doesn't really fit. But I guess 'chimer' isn't a marketing name. Yes expensive. It's well made. O rings are welded. It has an actual heavy duty parrot clamp!
