I called this morning to see how Mr. Precious was doing and before I could even ask, they asked if I wanted him back as he hadn't stopped screaming day & night since the swap. She home schools & has a 1 yr old & they couldn't take it. I said I'd be right there & in 10 min he was on my shoulder dancing, giving me kisses (that I didn't even ask for!) and doing sexy whistles at me. I'm so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:green2::D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

That's great Tammy, I know this was a difficult decision to make. I have to ask: do you have plans for addressing his aggression and behavior that led you to return him to this home in the first place? It seemed like you were concerned for people's-- including your children's-- safety.

Yes, I'm going to have his wings clipped (I won't keep them clipped, just a one time assist in training) & download some training materials & have the kids work with him. I think I gave him way too much control & now will have to slowly rein him back in.

Congratulations!!! Hopefully everything will turn around for you!!!!

Sweetie, Im glad you have him back. I think you are on to something, firm boundaries are important w/amazons. Merlin would rule the world if I let him. :D

Congratulation, and I hope things work out for everyone, and everybird..hahaha, but yes firm boundaries are a must!!!

I am happy for you and Mr. Precious, pease and love.....

I know others have said you need firm boundries, but zons can handle and often thrive in situations where their owners are more head strong than they are. They just want to know their place in the flock and just need someone to show them. Good luck

Best of luck to you! So happy for you to be reunited with Mr. Precious!

Welcome home, Mr. Precious!

Well that was quick to have Mr. Precious back. Do clip him for training! It would be a lot safer for all the family members! Congrats on having him back. :)

I was reading that story, and to tell you the truth, I'm happy for you and for Mr. Precious :)
Unconditional love...
Good luck!
