Happy Thanksgiving. I cook my turkey probably a little different. Last night I cut it up like a chicken. 
I put the breast in the crockpot for mom. Today im frying the rest on the stove. Fried turkey is amazing.
Then its the standard sides and 4 different kinds of pies.
Pumpkin creme
Traditional pumpkin
Pecan
Lemon meringue
And a
Cheesecake

Since making this thread I've....
1. Stuffed the bird (not mine...the turkey) and shoved it in the oven
2. Made yams southern style
3. Brussels Sprouts and Cauliflower are done and are sitting pretty in homemade Hollandaise/cheese sauce.
4. JUST opened a bottle of red wine....
Will put my 'gang' to work shortly to get the table ready. :54: We'll eat around 3-4PM, and dessert is ready for MUCH much later (cheese cake, pecan pie & apple pie - all store bought.)

And I readily admit that there HAVE been times 'my birds' were threatened with seeing the microwave from the inside...... :21:

I know this is kinda bad but I threaten my macaws this time of the year....lol....Especially Willie as he starts his hormone stage and he can be quite evil.....I show them, here's turkey, you wanna be turkey next? lol

My gang's been begging for 'yum-yum' all day long already. Good thing the turkey's got 2 legs (one for each big mac).

Making a 16 pound trash can turkey and a 5pound ham,home made from scratch apple and pumpkin pies,green bean casserole,shrimp cocktail,rolls,stuffing,ambrosia salad .man making stuff from scratch is soooo time consuming lol. Hope everyone has a blessed day.

Two of my handfed Goffins; Abby and Gabby are raging! Squeaky, the youngest brother and Peanut the mother are slightly affected while Popcorn the father is minimally hormonal. (he's separated and in a different room) ET the TAG is a bit more ornery while Gonzo the BFA is his "normal self." The rest seem unaffected!
