Happy vacation update.

I was very nervous to let Tiki go stay with my inlaws for a long weekend (Friday morning thru Monday night). They love her dearly and I know shes in great (relatively inexperienced) hands. ...And I'm happy to report baby bird made momma proud! She did great, not too many bites, no screaming, eating regularly, poo was normal, stepped up for everyone, did her high five per usual. She was very excited to see us when we got home though. She shook like a leaf until she settled in on dads chest and almost immediately fell asleep. We have another bigger trip coming up in 11 days (we'll be gone for 9 days) and she will be boarded at the breeder we got her from, who i feel at the moment is the best to be caring for her for that extended time.

I feel so much better knowing that she was safe, happy and content at "grandma and grandpas" house. Phew, what a load off my mind.

FYI: I know that the Breeder may have a huge knowledge step above Grandma and dad. But you have established a travel route with them and your Parrot. i.e. when you are gone for a while, I can hang with this guys and you are known to return! Just my two-cents,

I appreciate your two-cents. Always helpful!

My inlaws will be on the trip with us (un)fortunately. I'd like her to get used to my inlaws, my parents (when they're ready) and the breeder for longer trips if needed. She's such a friendly girl and takes to strangers very well (after staring at them and giving them the "stink eye" for a while). We take her almost every time we go to either of our parents houses, and really any family member i guess now that i'm thinking about it. Shes always interested in new things.
