We had a GREAT time in NY City.

Blanca, we could theoretically celebrate out anniversary on 2 days. On the 20th we got married in City Hall and on the 21st in church. In Germany you have to first get married by law before you can get married in church.

We drove to Newark and took the train from there. Alex gets free parking in Newark, because that is where he works. I will NEVER drive into the city again, last time it took us 3 hours. Weekends are usually better, but we weren't taking any chances. So the commute to Newark and then train was a little under 2 hours (one way).

Yes, I forgot it. I was off the previous week and never looked at a calendar because I knew I didn't have to go anywhere. On our anniversary, my husband was preparing for a colonoscopy and I was working on a project. The day after our anniversary, my husband said something to me about it. He didn't say anything on our anniversary either so I guess we are both guilty.
